Taweret

Egyptians were accustomed to worshipping many gods, turning to different ones for different needs. Akhenaten's insistence on the worship of Aten alone was a radical break with tradition. Many small objects found at Amarna indicate that worship of older gods continued, particularly of those associated with the home. Taweret, protector of pregnancy, was represented as a pregnant hippopotamus.
